This Mango Shrub Mocktail is delicious and perfect for summer nights! Or poolside days, either way! It’s refreshing and just…awesome.

I’ve had shrubs in the past, and I’ve made them as directed. However, with this shrub, I’ve taken a few liberties and messed around with the method and measurements and this shrub is…perfect.
It’s sweet, it’s tart, it’s nuanced, and does it taste like vinegar? Not exactly. It tastes like a real cocktail. And I’m crazy about it!
Here’s the thing I really like about shubs, you can swap the fruit for almost anything. If all you have on hand is strawberries? Fresh or frozen, go ahead and swap the mango for strawberries.
If you’d prefer to use honey instead of granulated sugar? You can do that too!
How do you make a mango shrub?

Simply gather your ingredients and add them to a mason jar.
Smash them mango around with the back of a wooden spoon and stir the ingredients. Screw the lid on and refrigerate overnight.
Then strain the mixture and add a couple of tablespoons to sparkling water.
That's it!

Cheers! I hope you enjoy this Mango Shrub Mocktail!

Consider these swaps
You can make this drink a little "healthier" by swapping the granulated sugar for honey.
Want to make it more "functional"? You can swap the sparkling water for iced chamomile or iced passion tea!
