    Pineapple Margarita Mocktail

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

The Pineapple Margarita Mocktail is basically what dreams are made of! This drink pairs perfectly with tacos, a poolside lounge, or just a fun refresher when you want something flavorful and alcohol-free!

    What makes this drink unique?

My non-alcoholic (or NA) drinks are typically refined sugar-free but flavorful.  I love an NA drink that's complex, nuanced, and doesn’t just taste like fizzy juice.

Here is my thing with most NA margs, they’re either very sugary and syrup-y or they just taste like fizzy juice.  Neither of which reminds me of a margarita.

However, this mocktail–truly reminds me of what it means to be drinking a margarita! It is deeply flavorful and really, if you didn’t know you were sipping on an NA drinking, you might think you were having the “real” version!

    It’s…

    • Flavorful
    • Nuanced
    • Complex &
    • Delicious

The drink paired with the Tajin on the rim of the glass makes for a fantastic drink that not only tastes good, but it’s gorgeous, too!

    Ingredients

You only need 4: pineapple juice, kombucha, lime juice, and Tajin seasoning.

I have a few ingredients that I love in this recipe - two that I just don’t budge on are good-quality pineapple juice and kombucha.  Health-Ade Kombucha and Knudsen “Just Pineapple” juice are the best options.

Knudsen Pineapple juice is my favorite because it’s truly “just” pineapple juice.  No other ingredients

    How to make it

Making this margarita is easy–you don’t have to cook anything or even get out a cocktail shaker!

Process shots showing how to make a pineapple margarita mocktail (four pictures collage style).
    • Simply rim your glass with a lime, I like to only do ½ of the glass, and dip it into the Tajin seasoning.
    • Fill your glass with ice.
    • Then add the pineapple juice and top with a few generous splashes of kombucha.
    • Squeeze in a little lime juice and give it a stir.

    …and enjoy!

I used a few splashes of “limeade” flavored kombucha, but you can use: apple, ginger, strawberry lemonade, or lemon-flavored kombucha.  It’s hard to find unflavored kombucha so feel free to use whatever you have on hand as long as you don’t think the flavors will clash with the pineapple juice.

In addition to the pineapple juice and kombucha, you’ll also need some fresh lime juice, and Tajin seasoning (or you can swap it for chili powder and coarse salt).

    Ingredients

    • 1 lime wedge for rimming the glass + garnish
    • 1 tablespoon Tajin seasoning
    • ½ cup pineapple juice
    • ¼ cup kombucha
    • 1 tablespoon lime juice about ½ small freshly squeezed lime

    Instructions

    • First grab a short or margarita glass and put the Tajin seasoning on a paper plate or a flat surface.
    • Run a lime wedge around the side of ½ your glass. Dip the wet part of the glass into the Tajin seasoning until it’s coated. I like to only coat about ½ the glass just in case you don’t want Tajin seasoning in every sip of your drink!
    • Next, fill the glass with ice and add the pineapple juice and kombucha.
    • Squeeze in the lime juice. Give it a gentle stir and enjoy!
